RICHARDSON Douglas Wilce Richardson, age 87, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013. Douglas
was a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville, FL. He retired from the Jacksonville
Fire Department in 1986 from Station 17, was a Navy Veteran of WWII, a member of
the 50 Gallon Donor Club for the Florida-Georgia Blood Alliance, Big Brothers, and
served as a deacon for Woodstock Park Baptist Church and Park Lane Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy Lamb Richardson, a son, Wayne Richardson
(Susan), a daughter, Vickie Taylor (Keith), sisters; Amelia Curry (Flagler) and Linda
Prevatt (Robert), grandchildren; Paul Richardson (Elizabeth), Joel Richardson, Michael
Taylor and Lauren Taylor, a great granddaughter, Meredith Richardson and many nieces
and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 at 10:00am in Park
Lane Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Carney and Wayne Richardson officiating followed
by interment in Riverside Memorial Park with US Navy honors. The family will receive
friends at FRASER FUNERAL HOME, 8168 Normandy Blvd. (781-4314) from 5:00 - 7:00pm
Sunday. Flowers will be received with love or in lieu of flowers, donations to Park
Lane Baptist Church.
