The officers and members of the Jacksonville Retired Firefighter Association are saddened to report that

Retired JFRD Lieutenant Clarence R. Pickett passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024.

 Lieutenant Pickett began his City of Jacksonville employment on June 23, 1958, with the city electric department before moving his employment to the Jacksonville Fire Department.

Lieutenant Pickett retired from Engine 37 in September of 1996.

One of Lieutenant Pickett's sons, Mike Pickett, is a retired Battalion Chief with the department and advised his parents were living in Georgia.

No funeral service is anticipated in the near future.
