The officers and members of the Jacksonville Retired Firefighter Association are saddened to report that

JFRD Retired Captain William J. Knight passed away 7/4/2024.

Captain William J. "Bill" Knight. Captain Knight supervised the Fire Communications activity when it was located inside the Police Memorial Building and firefighters were being transitioned out, being replaced with civilian communications officers. At the time of his death Captain Knight was being treated for medical issues at U.F. Health on Max Leggett Parkway. His wife Carol was at his side when he passed.

A viewing and time of visitation and fellowship will be held 10:00 AM Friday July 12, 2024.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM at:

Interment will follow the memorial service at:
