The officers and members of the Jacksonville Retired Firefighter Association are saddened to report that

Retired Battalion Chief Johnny P. Hiers passed away 6/24/2024.

Chief Hiers had been in declining health recently and was in a care facility south of Jacksonville. Family members are scheduled to meet with a local funeral director soon and as soon as arrangements are made and released we will post them on this page. Please join us in keeping Chief's Hiers' family and friend in your thoughts and prayers as they deal with their loss.
