GRANGER Mr. William S. Granger Jr. passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012. He was born September 12, 1939 in Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Granger retired from the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department as a Captain after 32 years of service. He was a member of River Road Baptist Church in Hilliard, Florida. Mr. Granger was a very beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Mr. Granger is survived by: his wife of 51 years, Charlie Faye Granger; daughters Marie Wells (Charlie) and Teresa Harnage; sons William S. Granger III (Patty) and Chris Granger (Jackie); (6) grandchildren; and (8) great-grandchildren. The family received friends Thursday, October 18, 2012, 6-8 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 19, 2012 at River Road Baptist Church Hilliard, FL with Pastors Benje Loyd and James Conner officiating. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery in St. George, GA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Northeast Florida Community Hospice.
