The officers and members of the Jacksonville Retired Firefighter Association are saddened to report that

Retired JFRD Fire Prevention Captain Danny L. Butcher (77)  passed away 9/10/2024.

Captain Butcher was hired October 23, 1972 and assigned to Station 16 at Imeson Airport on North main St. until the new airport was built and the Jacksonville Port Authority took over the fire service. He later went to Engine 23 and lastly transferred to the Fire Prevention Bureau where he promoted up to Captain before retiring in 2002..

A Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday September 13, 2024 at
