JFRD Retired District Chief James W. Black passed away May 07, 2016.
BLACK James Warren Black born Feb. 8, 1937 passed May 7, 2017. Born in Baxley, Georgia he served his country honorably in the U. S. Air Force and proudly served the Jacksonville Fire Department for 33 years. He leaves to grieve his passing his wife Brenda, her son Chadd and wife Barbara; brothers Wendell and wife Lawanna and Dale and his wife Hilda; many nieces and nephews and many faithful friends at Holiday Hill Baptist Church. James was predeceased by his father Silas Black & mother Drexel Swinson Black, Betty Black wife of 53 years, brother Bill Black, sisters Lucille and Myrtle.
