Lance Cpl. Jonathan Taylor

Lance Cpl. Jonathan Taylor, who joined the United States marines in 2007,  Jacksonville, was killed Dec. 1 in Afganistan by an improvised explosive device.

He graduated from Wolfson High School, and was on his second tour in the Middle East, having served in Iraq in 2008.

His remains arrived at NAS Jacksonville yesterday, and the family held a funeral Wednesday morning.

Lance Cpl. Taylor was laid to rest in Oaklawn Cemetery shortly after noon.

I set up my fire truck and American flag in honor of our fallen hero.
